The Event:
The All-Star Game, baseball’s annual showcase of MLB’s top players is the centerpiece of All-Star Week—a week long celebration filled with fan events, skills competitions and exhibition games that highlight the sport in a festive and engaging atmosphere. In 2023 the event was brought to Seattle.
The Job:
Leading the design process for the event’s visual system, my focus was on capturing Seattle’s distinct character—a city defined by contrasts: rugged yet modern, organic yet contemporary. To bring this duality to life we integrated film photography of the city and its natural landscapes with environmental textures, layered patterns, and vegetative and oceanic palette. Patch-like gradient elements were added to create depth and movement, building a stacked composition that echoed Seattle’s layered terrain. The result was a system that was distinctly Seattle.
